Rush-Zone On BASHandSLASH.com

fpbattlefieldRush Zone's own nKm and sTon3r have been talking to Jock Yitch from BASHandSLASH.com in the latest podcast for thier site. The boys have been talking about the latest on Bad Company 2 and where the game is at right now, what isnt going right, what needs to be introduced and what is still not working right that EA have not touched yet (ie: the friends list). The boys also talk about the m60 and 40mms and how they should be a nerf to those weapons so there is a balance.

Jock Yitch moved onto the problems that the US comunity have had with the game, this mainly stems down to the lack of a ping showing on for many US players. Animations and spawn were also discussed from the lads. The tactic of the medic train were talked, where the team turns into all medic and follow each other (train like) and med people all the time when one die. The fact that they have revive protection means this "train" keeps on going. Ston3r describes it best as "something benny hill". This then moved onto how there should be a time limit or otherwise like during i39 games will last for an hour because of these medic-trains

Strats were talked about, a key area for any esports games. First up  were the configs for the game. nKm's config was posted on the resources area below the podcat link. He talks about the FOV (field of view) and how he finds it easier to play with high res for the game in order to see the soliders. An intresting stat brought up by jockyitch was the knife is the 2nd most used weapon in the game, first is the m60, a suprising stat but somewhat not that shocking. On the subject of the weapons, the boys talked about the weapons and how balanced the weapons are in the game. Ston3r talked about mixing it up by playing diferent roles on diferent maps due to the balance of the weapons. Each class were broken down and whatthe ideal weapons for each class are. Using the damage chart (on the resources area), the 3 agreed that the XM8 is the ideal weapon for the assult class, aswell as the AN-94. With the engi class the two weapons that were agreed as ideal were the AK and the UMP. For the medic class, the m60 was talked about and how overpowered it is, as jockyitch said, maybe the m60 was programed incorrect? Recon class came up next, and jockyitch started talking about the number of snipers in the game and their motar strikes, the fact there is no limit to the strikes and how soon they recharge wastalked about and how there should be a limit on the number of strikes or the recharge time extended. The overall question is nerf the class or have class limits. All through these discussions nKm was talking about rewarding the player for acuracy, ie: 1 shot in the head on any class and you should get the kill.

i39 was the next subject brought up and the odd choice of 5v5 conquest and why that mode was chosen. Ston3r brought up how strange and odd the fact 5v5 on a 32 player map felt and how long the games took to complete (if you look at the ondemand vids from i39, it took dignaits 20 minutes to take out a team turtled in their base). It was agreed that the 5v5 did not work during the event however the 4v4 squad rush need to be tweaked in order for that mode to be the right mode. The rules were talked about and nKm explained how the game failed for a specator sport during i39. Ston3r talked about the strats about conquest: simply rush to B, and one to protect your flag close to your base. Simple on paper however as Jocky stated, games could be decided in less than 1 minute, an example by the dignitas vs xtreme measures game that is on the i39 ondemand that Jocky stated. Despite the way the games played out, the shout casting was praised by the boys, The podcast is worth listening to so make yourself a tea and listen on.We would like to thank jockitch for inviting nKm and sTon3r to be part of the podcast.
