Getting your Battlefield Recorder operational

Yet another puzzler. Why are there so few clans with the Battlefield Recorder operational on their game server?

Because extra steps are taken by developers to ensure your average person will be UNABLE to configure a server to record gaming sessions. Damn, is it frustrating to follow incomplete instructions which result in hours and hours of extra research and testing with it still not functioning.

Can folks provide extra clear instructions on how to setup the Battlefield Recorder on a game server?
