The Advanced Tactical Center (ATC): www.playprepared.com/ (Support Section)

It has been a long time since we have tried to establish an ATC server. We were unable to get ATC to function where we could share a live briefing. Can someone assist? ST0n3r mentioned it may be a router setting hindering the connection. Here are the instructions on the ATC website:

To start a briefing that other users can connect you need to fill out the following details:

• Gamepack – This is the Gamepack (the pictures and icons) that will be used for your briefing. Choose the Gamepack you want to use with the dropdown list. If you want to create a new Gamepack or modify an existing one, click on 'Manage Gamepacks' (more about Manage Gamepacks in the corresponding section here.)
• Your IP Address – This is your public IP address (or your local if ATC is unable to retrieve your public one). This is the IP address other users need to connect to your ATC session.
• Port – This is the port that ATC will use for its network traffic. It is recommended to leave this at the default port.
• Username – This is the username that will be shown once inside the ATC session. It is limited to 10 characters.
• Settings – This will bring up the additional options for your session. When you are ready to start your ATC session just press 'Start Briefing'!

This is where you join a session created by another ATC user.

• Server Favorite – In this dropdown list you can choose your favorite ATC servers to join.
• Manage Favorites – This opens the Server Favorites Window where you add or remove your favorite servers. More about Manage Favorites here.
• IP Address – Write in the IP address of the server you would like to join.
• Port – Write the port of the server.
• Username – Write the username you would like to use on the server.
• Password – If the server has a password, write it here. When every field is set up as you want it, press 'Join Briefing' to join the session.

Ston3r is right. Just open the port on your router. Tell me what router you got.

I do not have a router set up right now, but when I do its a Linksys. I need to assist about 30 others with 4 being able to set the ATC server up on their PCs and the others to be able to connect.

You allways need to forward a port to setup an atc server. There is no way arround. The problem is that every router look diffrent from the settings. But basicly it works like that. Give your pc a static ip. Than opent your routerconfig. Search something called nat or pat and forward the port you want(standard for atc is 3333 i think) and than it should work.
