Today EA released the first patch for BC2. While initially the list of updates was unavailable, we have added the list on this post, The update weighs in at 348.3 MB. Thus far first impressions are decent. The server browser has been much improved, with regional searches, hard core mode, and â€“ at last - it actually seems to search for servers!Â These settings are saved as well, so your daily routine of clicking every box is now a thing of the past.
EA About the new game mode:
"In this fast paced game mode you and your allies must capture and hold the rocket and keep it from enemy hands. Jump in with gusto or rocket fuel and make sure your enemies do not get the upper hand and claim the rocket for themselves."

Our current plan is to do final tests on the update and servers tonight and all being well we will look to release R7 client and R10 servers on Wednesday morning European time. While you wait for the release here are the details of the changelists for both the new client and server versions.

ATI released preview drivers today that provide a fix for slow loading times in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Right now this fix is only for 5 series cards. A fix for 4 series cards is planned for next week.
