The Battlefieldâ„¢ army is over 12 Million strong and growing every day as Battlefield 3â„¢ and its first expansion, Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand continues to recruit gamers around the world with its dynamic sandbox gameplay and state-of-the-art technology.
DICE demonstrates its ongoing commitment to fans by unveiling three new themed digital expansion packs* that will enhance the superior Battlefield experience with fresh and innovative gameplay, new modes, unique environments and more ways to wage all-out-war on the battlefield. Powered by the Frostbiteâ„¢ 2 engine, the next expansion packs are: Battlefield 3: Close Quarters in June, Battlefield 3: Armored Kill in the fall, and Battlefield 3: End Game in the winter.
The patch was expected to drop earlier this month, but according to DICE’s community manager Daniel Matros, the patch was never given an official release date. Matros also went on twitter to further solidify the rumor:
“It was announced by someone who got the dates wrongâ€
When more tweets rained in on the issue, Matros went on to say
“The date was never really correct anywayâ€.
A post on Battlog by zh1nt0 today confirms DICE are working on a huge list of patches and fixes for the community.
We would like to share some of the confirmed fixes and tweaks that we have been working on to the Community. Not that this is still not a full update list and there will be more information on this as we go forward. While there still is no ETA on the patch, we´re still working on improving online gameplay for all of our dear community members. So far, this list is for PC.
DICE’s lead gameplay designer Alan Kertz posted on Battlelog where he revealed a list of possible future changes to Battlefield 3. The items listed aren’t 100% certain to make it to a future patch — DICE is simply looking for player feedback on the list, which you can find below:
Yesterday saw both Epsilon eSports and Team Rush battle it out in a very climactic final of the 4pl's 8on8 conquest cup. On paper the game looked like it would be a very interesting match and this was proven by it ending in just a narrow margin of 5 tickets. However, Team Rush managed to clinch the game away using old school BF2 tactics of holding spawns and taking first place of the first and largest Battlefield 3 tournament to date so far.
Twenty four teams entered 4pl's Launch day conquest cup which was sponsored by Razer.
The tournament first got underway with Teheran Highway being the first map. Rush drew a bye and quickly waited the two hours for the second round to start. In the second round they drew up against Division Wüstenfuchs (Desert Fox) and the match promptly got underway with Rush managing to defeat their opponents and move through to the third round. Coming from Seine Crossing their next match was to be played on Grand Bazaar against a team called GIVE IT ALL e.V. Unfortunately, giving it their all was not good enough to topple Team Rush who once again promptly managed to secure the victory. Rush managed to prove themselves once again in the semi-finals on Kharg Island and proceeded to the finals where they met up with Epsilon.
This is a world first. A unique FPS simulator that turns gaming into reality as you move, aim, fire and get shot within a 360-degree immersive environment.
